Today Verizon announced an important milestone in its adoption of 100G technology with the deployment of the first standards-based multi-vendor next-generation 100G IP backbone on its European long-haul network, which will likely be completed before the end of this year. This latest advancement is a further confirmation of Verizon’s commitment to the next-generation technology and our T Series Core Routers will play a key role by enabling 100G Ethernet connections between routers on its IP network. We are proud to say that Juniper is the only vendor currently shipping a standards-based 100G IP/MPLS interface.
