Datacomm helps service providers to complete their transition to IP Next Generation Network with advanced technology solution. About Next Generation Network A Next Generation Network (NGN) is a packet-based network able to provide services including Telecommunication Services and able to make use of multiple broadband, Quality of Service (QoS)-enabled transport technologies and in which service-related functions are independent from underlying transport-related technologies. It offers unrestricted access by users to different service providers. It supports generalized mobility which will allow consistent and ubiquitous provision of services to users From ITU-T.
IP NGN Solution Portfolio: Datacomm focus on providing transport technologies for NGN infrastructure for the Core, Metro and Access Network which consist of:
♦ IP/MPLS Backbone Network The IP/MPLS Core is the foundation of the Next Generation Network (NGN). The NGN core must be capable of supporting the evolving multiplay services dominated by Video on Demand (VoD), IPTV, Voice over IP (VoIP) and other new bandwidth-intensive services that demand a high-quality user experience.
♦ Carrier Ethernet Network Carrier Ethernet is a ubiquitous, standardized, carrier-class SERVICE defined by five attributes that distinguish Carrier Ethernet from familiar LAN based Ethernet. It brings the compelling business benefit of the Ethernet cost model to achieve significant savings.
Service providers worldwide are migrating their existing networks to deliver Carrier Ethernet services to Enterprises, businesses & residential end-users.
♦ Wireless Broadband Wireless Broadband is a fairly new technology that provides high-speed wireless internet and data network access over a wide area. Wireless Broadband features speeds roughly equivalent to wired broadband access, such as that of ADSL or a cable modem.
♦ IP Radio Access Network (RAN) IP RAN solution enable the transport of both mobile voice and data traffic from CDMA, 1x-EVDO, GSM, and UMTS services over new high-capacity, lower-cost packet networks in the RAN. Instead of using the costly E1 TDM for transport, IP RAN seamlessly integrates with the IP/MPLS and Carrier Ethernet Network.
♦ Broadband Traffic Management (BTM) BTM provides the network intelligence for controlling traffic and maximizing ARPU, and enable more efficient use of network assets and the delivery of tiered services to increase revenue. Through a range of traffic monitoring and control capabilities BTM provides intelligent network visibility, guarantee unsurpassed quality of experience (QoE) and mitigate security threats.
♦ NGOSS (Next Generation Operation Support System) To support the management of NGN, a new generation of OSS is required to monitor and managed the new all IP network such as Fault, Configuration and Performance Management. |
